The chrome bezels are often a corroded mess. The chrome often becomes “pock-marked” and they become so thin that they crack. This leaves the wiper “posts” unsupported and the wipers them wobble while they move. British cars have enough windshield wiper problems without adding to it...
Originally, cars after about 1977 came with black bezels. We have chrome ones on sale now and they would look nice on your car! Cross Reference 145-260
