Machined Anti-Roll bar blocks with a recess for the anti-roll bar bush so it will actually bolt up properly, this recess and new bolt holes are offset from the original mounting holes so the anti-roll bar is pulled forward by 14mm, this will pull the track control arm forward increasing the caster by almost 1.5 degrees. Increased caster improves steering response, makes braking more stable, increased negative camber on outside wheel in corners and improved high speed stability, a benefit for all TR7 & TR8's.

Price is for a PAIR of brackets All bolts supplied Anti roll bar clamps NOT supplied

    WORKS, AND THEN SOME

Posted by Richard Raymond on 10th Aug 2023

Was very easy to install to the K member. However, two of the attachment thru-bolts galled on me, and I was unable to remove them. They were not cross-threaded. I finally was able to get big wrenches and sockets on them and twisted them until the bolts broke. I then went to Ace Hardware and purchased identical bolts, but this time just the black, high strength variety. Even though I had already installed one of the units, I removed it so that I could install the same bolts on both. Regarding final setup, Darrell's description, "...but takes some muscle to pull the anti-roll bar forward" is accurate, but in my case it took some REAL effort to get things to line up. In fact, at first I was unable to get things together. I suspect this is because I'm running some stiff urethane bushings. I ended up laying the TR7 tire jack flat on a 2x4 block set in front of the rear tires, and then took a 2x4 wood compression strut cut square on the jack end, but sharpened at the nose to let it settle in between two wheel lugs (wheels removed, of course). The sharpened end allowed the strut to self-center when placed under compression. With my brother manning the jack, I was able to quite easily get everything aligned and final bolted. An added benefit is that the extra caster totally eliminated a very severe steering wheel shake that I had been fighting--and I mean FIGHTING-- ever since I installed my 350 Chevy LT1 and Firebird limited slip rear end some years ago. Later, it dawned on me that because I'm running about a 2" rake, the normal stock (positive) caster is reduced by something approaching a degree-and-a-half, and in my case, it put my caster well below the factory specifications. TWS's blocks put me back closer to the minimum factory specs, with the above very positive effect. Thanks, TWS.

I had to re-tap one thread and bolt before installation as it was cross threaded.

    Front Anti-roll bar brackets

The product is well made and designed. It fit perfectly and altered the front suspension as advertised. I would advise all TR-7/8 owners to install when they are refreshing their front suspension components.

    Straight forward to install

Posted by Darrell Walker on 4th Feb 2020

This was straight forward to install, but takes some muscle to pull the anti-roll bar forward. I expected that I would have to reset the toe alignment, but it was still spot-on. It replaced another anti-dive spacer, so I didn't notice (or expect) and difference there. What I did notice was that the little bit of vagueness in the steering at center is now gone, it is tight and responsive. I have 15" wheels (205/50) on 7" wide, and had to adjust the front lower fender a bit. Some people need to do that even just going with wider wheels, but I didn't need to until installing this kit.
