Our  A/C radiator is an exact replacement to the OEM, but will a higher capacity and better cooling properties because of the Aluminum. Can be used with stock fans, but we recommend our Aftermarket 14in fan setup.

The Non A/C Aluminum radiator (pictured) is a larger than OEM setup with almost twice the cooling capacity of stock. It runs two 1" tubes per row. We have also set it up for use with a cooling fan sensor allowing you to run an aftermarket electric fan.  Your normal NON A/C doesn't come with this.

  • We recommend running our shroud and 14in electric fan with this setup for optimal cooling and fan mounting
  • When the fan and shroud combo is purchased, it will be installed for you before shipping
  • Fan option is our aftermarket 14in fan and includes mounting hardware
  • Mounting your fan directly to the radiator without a shroud voids all warranty

Installation

  • When using our GM Alternator Kit, you can wire your fan via the temp sensor per below.

    It fits

The car is undergoing a major renovation so all I can say is it fits and installs easily. Not yet functional.

    excellent product; superb service

Posted by Unknown on 6th Apr 2015

I recently bought a lightened flywheel here and the quality of the product and the excellent service I received encouraged me to buy from the Wedge Shop again. The same high quaility in both goods and service prevailed. I have not yet installed the radiator, but I have no doubt whatsoever it will perform as advertised. A well earned 5 star rating

    Aluminum radiator for TR8

Posted by Bob Banathy on 10th Dec 2014

Delivery of the radiator was very prompt. Packaging was excellent. Installation was quick and painless, and although our Atlanta summer will be the real test, cooling performance seems excellent as well. Buying from a proven and reliable source was icing on the cake.

    RELIABLE COOLING IN HOT COLORADO!

Posted by Dale Peterson on 10th Apr 2014

This top quality unit replaced a shot stock radiator in my A/C equipped 1981 TR-8. Cooling was always an issue in Colorado in the summer with the stock radiator--not any more! Continued reliability when I took the TR8 back to England for a 3 year stint in the UK. The car is now back in Colorado. Almost 4 years of bullet proof, reliable cooling and still going strong!

    Cool at last

Posted by Dennis Conly on 3rd Apr 2014

A little early to get a real test as the temps here in Reno are still cool, but my car's temperature has never been so stable. The fan hardly ever comes on, and temp will actually drop when driving 70-75 on the freeway instead of getting hotter as before. When it starts to heat in heavy traffic the temp will actually drop when the fan comes on. I am sure that I can get the A/C working now.

    Keeping cool in Phoenix

Posted by Tim Greenlee on 30th Sep 2013

Just installed the Wedge Shop Aluminum radiator in my TR8 roadster. What a difference in the performance in the cooling system. Car runs cool in this Phoenix heat. Temp gauge stays between 1/4 and 1/2, even in traffic. The quality of the radiator is the best I have seen. Thanks for a great product.

    The heat is gone

Posted by Allan on 5th Jul 2011

Installed the ALUMINUM RADIATOR for A/C this past weekend. Works GREAT. Massive difference from original radiator. Normal now on original gauge is just below half. Fans(Porsche Boxter) never go high speed in open road or stop and go driving. Only go high speed in complete stop traffic at 94 F high humidity temps. With radiator, fans on high speed bring temp back to half on gauge within minutes. Thanks WEDGE SHOP

    Staying cool

Posted by Zach on 20th Jun 2011

I have seen some emails about overheating recently, however haven't read them in full. Anecdotaly, I bought a Wedge Shop aluminum radiator and electric fan last fall and couldn't be happier. I sat in an hour traffic jam today and the temp never rose above 1/2 way. When driving it stays at the quarter mark. Its great to not worry when the heat comes!
