Transmission Front Cover Rubber Seal Type
This is the front cover that presses in to the bell housing that uses a pressed in Rubber Seal Triumph Spitfire 1979 to 1980, and Midget 1500. With this style it employs a rubber lip oil seal which was in improvement from the earlier design but it is not interchangeable. Care must be taken when ordering replacement parts for this area of the gearbox, since front covers and constant pinion shafts cannot be interchanged.
