The reason why a plastic gear was used in a gear box is beyond me, but that is what we have to live with. With use these gear will wear out, sometime from use other times from when a bolt that holds on the pinion gear housing comes out and strips the gear. Whatever may happen we have a new gear for you. Please check the color of your gear which equals the tooth count, this color Blue has 24 teeth which was used on non-overdrive cars with a 3.89 differential.
