This tool is used to remove and install fan clutch assemblies when replacing water pumps or doing other engine services. Use two wrenches together: one for holding and the other for turning.
At last, a sensible way to remove and replace your viscous fan clutch without ruining it! The Universal Water Pump Wrench fits bolt-on type pulleys. No adjusting or fiddling. Simply hook on with one hand and hold, then use one of our Fan Clutch Wrenches (32 mm or 36 mm) to remove the viscous fan clutch. Reverse to install.
Our professional-quality fan clutch wrenches are a full 17" long with enough leverage to easily remove the viscous coupler and fan. Must be used in combination with the Universal Water Pump Wrench to remove viscous fan.
