It’s common for the Haldex coupling filter media to become overloaded by 50,000 miles, causing the hydraulic pump to fail. To prolong the life of the system, it’s recommended to replace the Haldex coupling oil and filter every 30,000 miles or 3 years, whichever comes first. This reduces the risk of pump failure and increases the life of the Haldex coupling clutch pack and bearings.
