This is a clutch slave Cylinder for a Triumph TR7 and TR8. Cross reference PJH154 071-312.

What are the symptoms of a bad clutch slave cylinder?

Usually when you have a bad clutch slave cylinder you know it right away, because since it is a hydraulic part, once a seal inside the slave cylinder gets bad, it will start leaking fluid, at the same time, because the seal is not sealing properly, it will allow air inside the system, causing your clutch pedal to feel soft and spongy. When a clutch pedal feels that way, it is an indication of air in the system, and when this happens, it makes it hard to operate the clutch properly because it engages even with your foot almost all the way to the floor, at times you may not even be able to place your car in gear due to this problem. NOTE: A bad clutch master cylinder will have similar symptoms, make sure that you look closely at each one of these items to determine which one is the problem ( the one malfunctioning is the one leaking fluid ).

    Great!

Great part! Works perfectly. Just be careful with removing the old one (from a TR7) as you can pull the rod roff the clutch fork. Just make sure the old rubber seal doesn’t catch that rod and you will be fine. Easy Peasy. Thanks for the great parts!

Fit perfect, quality looks good. But also need Master cylinder, I should have ordered both at the same time, and cut freight bill in half

Make sure you put some grease on the shaft coming from the bell housing where it goes up into the slave.

Replacing the slave cylinder and the car will work.....we initially tried rebuilding, but even with new seals the old one leaked too much to disengage the clutch. Thanks tws for keeping g this old heap running a bit longer

I do not have sufficient knowledge of auto parts to comment on the actual products. However, I can say that all of the parts are functioning well. I would also like to say that your attention to the order and your service met your own very high standards. It was a pleasure to deal with you again.
