Description

Replace your original flexible rubber mounts with these solid aluminum carburetor monts. The stock and replace rubber mounts fall apart easily, causing your car to run lean, idle erratically or not run at all .  These will fit Zenith-Stromberg, SU, Weber DGV, as well as others. 

 

To help satisfy US emissions regulations in the 1970's, British Leyland devised flexible rubberized mounts for the attachment of the carburetors to the engine.  Unfortunately, even with normal loads the rubber in these mounts soon splits and allows air to enter the intake manifold causing lean running conditions.  This lean mixture can be very damaging to the engine and should not be allowed to persist.  This solid mounting adapter that includes a standard insulator spacer and reproduces the original mounting dimensions.  It is important to maintain these dimensions because the throttle linkage depends on this geometry.

 

Sold as a pair with all necessary gaskets and hardware, as shown.

    The kit arrivee at my UK address just 9 days after oredr, the mounting instructions (on line) were clear and consise enabling a successful fitting of the very well made and robust components. Of particular appreciation was the fact that ALL items required for fitting were included in the kit. The difference in quality to other aftermarket kits was apparent from the outset and to say that I am pleased with the installed kit would be an understatement.
