Trunk Pistons TR8

My trunk finally stays open on its own!

Pistons fit perfectly. Pistons work perfectly. Really happy the trunk lid won't cause me any more grief!

If your trunk lid keeps hitting you on the back of the head, use these struts to make life safe enough to open the trunk again!

If you own a TR7 or TR8 with gas trunk pistons that help to open your trunk and keep it open, sooner or later the pistons lose the ability to do their job. And, although I think replacing these things is one of the nastiest jobs on these cars, if you need to do it, The Wedge Shop pistons are perfect replacements which are as good or better than the originals. They fit perfectly and have just the right amount of strength to lift your trunk lid and keep it open. There's nothing worse than having a trunk lid come down on your head due to weak pistons. So if you need to, get Woody's pistons, grit your teeth, take a swig of your favorite drink, prop your trunk lid open and go for it! You will be so happy and thankful when they're in.

It only took one slip of the broomstick to convince my painfully impacted head that new struts were a necessity! Struts are nice quality and despite fumbling with the nuts, everything went well. Thanks Wedge Shop.

They need to come with thr mounting pins.

Invariably my kids would close the trunk with a good shove from the top, then the yelling about the branch, the lid, and the hinges. These pistons have saved my nerves, and my dog gets his branch back. Easy to install and I enjoyed the part where I repeatedly dropped the nut. Trunk lid works great! Thanks again Woody. received my struts and installation was a breeze - they work excellent & price was great! now I can throw out the stick I used to prop the trunk open.
